The main planning values are maximum capacity, span, runway length and required hook height. Add the dimensions of the load and its typical pickup and set-down positions. This shows whether the crane must cover the entire hall or only a defined production zone.
State the number of daily cycles, desired speeds, control method and available electrical supply. Frequent handling, precise assembly work and occasional maintenance lifts require different drive and hoist configurations. Environmental factors such as dust, moisture, heat or outdoor exposure should also be noted.
For an existing building, provide runway and support data, drawings and photographs. Delivery route, assembly access and possible production restrictions help SHT plan installation. The resulting concept can then include crane bridge, hoist, controls, power supply and future service access.
If a runway already exists, provide its profile, gauge, rail level, support arrangement and permissible wheel loads. Drawings or structural records are more reliable than photographs alone. Door dimensions, delivery route, assembly space and restrictions caused by ongoing production also help SHT plan a practical installation sequence.
